2021.10.22 15:51 chuff3r First time player looking for rp/character creation advice
Hi y'all. Been lurking for a while on this and many other dnd subreddits, but I just got my first chance to play in a campaign, for which I'm super excited. I have a couple questions that I'd love to get some help with, and this seems like a good place to ask!
1) I'm playing a rangehexblade with high charisma, but due to backstory reasons is a bit traumatized and not quite so bubbly or funny as they used to be. How should I think about roleplaying a character who has a forceful presence and a way with words but is not a loud or attractive person? I was thinking about leaning into the one-on-one persuasion/intimidation kind of charisma, but I'd welcome any advice you can give, on this specific question, or really any advice on rp for a first time player.
2) My character has 7 levels of warlock and 3 of ranger. I'm well aware that starting at level 10 will be a big ask for a first time player. I've spent a long time making this character, working out the multiclassing and features, but I'm a little stumped on spell selection. I have 3 1st level slots from the ranger, and 2 pact slots for the warlock, with access to 4th level warlock spells. I know 8 warlock spells though. My question is this: There seem to be a ton of concentration spells in both classes, so what are the best non-concentration spells for me to grab? I already have stuff like eldritch blast, counterspell, arms of hadar, and hallucinatory terrain that I know I'm including, but what spells 1st-4th level should I also look at? And should I prioritize hunter's mark as my concentration spell during combat? Or are there others I should consider?
3) My hexblade weapon is a longbow (from my ranger days) as well as being the catalyst for some of my spells (OK'd by DM). I want to make sure that even at level 10 I can incorporate it into combat, and my DM suggested looking for homebrewed bows with abilities that would make sense for a dark, illusion based hunter. Never having homebrewed before, I've looked through lots of bows on dndbeyond and other places. I have no idea what power level would be appropriate for a level 10 party though, so any suggestions for places to look, or kinds of abilities to put on a bow would be super welcome. I will obviously run any ideas by my DM, but any tips from a resource like PCAcademy would be wonderful!
I know this was a lot of text, so really any guidance will be helpful! Thanks so much :)

Let’s accept it. Bhuvan and his comic timing in acting is touching new grounds everyday. Can we expect the unexpected in Hindi Film Industry? Can he be the next self-made superstar?

2021.10.22 15:51 Night_Blade_76 Nikon 24mm 2.8d vs tamron 17-35mm 2.8-4
Hi I have recently got back into photography since replacing my broken d3200 with a d750.
I currently have the following lenses
Nikon 50mm 1.8g (my go to lens)
Nikon 35mm 1.8g DX (Im happy with how this works on the full frame the slight vignetting is not bad)
Tamron 70-300mm F4-5.6 vc (my long Lens)
nikon 18-55 3.5-5.6 dx kit lens (doesnt work at wide focal lengths in full frame mode)
I shot allsorts with my camera apart from sports and wildlife, I do like my prime lenses and mostly use my 50mm and 35 mm as my walk around lenses, I am thinking about getting a wider lens as i am thinking of doing a bit of traveling in the future and was thinking the 50mm and a wider lens would be a good setup to take, also I would like to do a bit of landscape photography and just generaly a wider than 35mm lens would be a nice addition to my collection.
I am only a hobbyist so im not selling my photos or printing them really big or anything, but obviously dont want my photos to be a blurred mess either.
I have shortlisted it down to a nikon 24mm 2.8d and the tamron 17-35mm 2.8-4, the nikon is the cheaper of the 2 been around £200 second hand and looks a nice compact no fuss lens, whereas the tamron is nearly twice the price at around £375 second hand or £500 new but offers more versitility with the focal length and is generaly a newer lens. I have seen conflicting reviews of the nikon 24mm some saying its great and some saying its soft around the edges. The tamron seems a really good quality lens although is bigger and heavier than the nikon and part of me wonders if I "need" all that focal range already having my 35mm prime and not entirely sure i would use the ultra wide 17mm that much.
Does anyone have any experience with either of these lenses.
I know they are very different lenses but how do they compare image quality wise, I have allways thought primes would be better value been faster and sharper at a given focal range but here we are comparing an older lens to a more modern design does this still hold true. Generally which would you rather have or would a compleatly different lens be more suited to me, although be realistic about my budget im sure the sigma 24 1.4 art is better than the nikon 24 2.8d but it also costs 3 times as much.

2021.10.22 15:51 Jojo22660 No visible corpus luteum
I've had my first ultrasound today to confirm my pregnancy. Although hard to find, the doctor saw the sack and it measured the expected 8mm and my endometrium had a nice thickness.
What he couldn't find was a corpus luteum.
Because of that I am now on Progesterone (200mg) 2x a day, vaginally.
Last year I had a MC with a big defined corpus luteum so it never occurred me that might be an issue.
I was looking to hear some stories about your experience with Progesterone or small/not visible corpus luteum? Give a gal some hope?

2021.10.22 15:51 AwkwardLavaLamp Advice on moving out of parents house and moving states
So I’m 20f and almost right after high school I moved states away from Ohio to Tennessee to live with my dad. Before that I was living with my older brother and constantly getting into fights. My dad is close to retirement age and plans to move to Arizona in the next couple of years and I feel very pressed to get my shit together. I’m still not sure what to do with my life.
My plan is to move to Toledo Ohio, most of my family lives around that area. And the price of living and rent are cheaper there then where I live currently. I have 10k in savings but want to save 15k before I move out
Any tips on what to consider when making a big move like this?
